No cat suffering from, or suspected to be suffering from, any infectious or contagious disease can be accepted. All cats will be examined on arrival, but the proprietor reserves the right to refuse admission to any cat showing signs of ill-health pending advice from a Veterinary Surgeon. Veterinary attendance is assured (should this be necessary) and any treatment prescribed by a Veterinary Surgeon can be continued during the cats' stay.
Howlish Cats History
In 1979 Ann Parry decided that she would like to open a cattery on the land next to their home, George Parry built the Cattery with 20 units that would be able to home 4 cats if a familey of cats needed to be cared for.
The Cattery grew in reputation and is now one of the Premier Catteries in Durham, cats that are brought here from many parts of County Durham.
Today the cattery has 30 homes for cats with in the facility, with inside and external areas built in to each home.
A visit to Howlish Cats shows that the cats are well cared for, in exceptional conditions, whilst you find the need to have your cats looked after for a period of time.
